On November 6th in the Vigadó House of Culture and Bod Péter Pedagogical High School took place the presentation by Kollár Lajos and Mécs László about the Pearl of the Himalayas: Nepal. Interest in presentations was very high, so every hour of non-formal geography filled the halls full of participants. Photos are available on the association's Facebook page!
It is important to know about the two guests who promote healthy life, movement and travel, that in 2012, together with Erőss Zsolt (disappeared in May 2013 in the Kanchenjunga expedition), they launched the "Magyarok a világ nyolcezresein" expedition series in Transylvania. (the Hungarians on the 8,000-meter-high mountains)
The two climbers came to our town for the second time. Their goal was to conquer all the 14 mountains higher then 8,000 meters in the world by Hungarian hikers, promoting the mountaineer's life as well. At the same time, through the results, they want to motivate people to move (regardless of age), deepen their knowledge and travel. Also through the expeditions the climbers want to spread the existence of the Hungarians in every corner of the world. In presentations the two climbers pay special attention to ecological awareness.
The organizers of the event were: The Expedition Series – Szekler`s at Altitude and the Green Sun Association. Sponsors of the event: Covasna Community Foundation, Vigadó Cultural House
