Nemere Trail Camp abundant in sunshine

We continued to mark the Nemere Trail ‘green track’ on 9th and 10th July. The main sponsors of the third Nemere Trail Camp were the Polgár-Társ Alapítvány (‘Polgar Tars’ Foundation) and the Tusnád Ásványvíz Rt. (Tusnad Mineral Water Joint Stock Company) Photos taken at the event can be seen here.

At the event organized by the Green Sun Association and the ‘Cholnoky Jenő’ Geographical Association the teams cycled through the following settlements: Kézdivásárhely, Imecsfalva, Székelypetőfalva, Székelytamásfalva, Szörcse, Orbaitelek, Cófalva, Nagyborosnyó, Kisborosnyó, Lécfalva, Kézdimárkosfalva, Kézdimartonfalva, Hatolyka, Szentkatolna. After dinner, in the camp set in the Nursery School in Cofalva, those present attended a presentation on First Aid. The projected presentation with pictures was done by the medical freshman Fónyad Zsuzsa and lasted for more than half an hour after which several attendants cycled to Lake Rety and after midnight finally called it a day. The organizers’ aim with the Nemere Trail cycling camps is to mark and popularize the ‘green track,’ to raise attention to active life style and to recreational activities, prominently to cycling. Furthermore we would like to shed light on the tourist values of Szekler Land and the common problems and togetherness of the small settlements. ‘It was such a joy to see the enthusiasm of the group from Brasov (the oldest person was the 63 years old Halász Piroska). Despite the hot weather, they set out on their journey at 7 o’clock in the morning, on Saturday, in order to get to the starting point of the cycle track- Kézdivásárhely,’ said the project leader, Ráduly Attila. Special thanks to Nagy Csongor László, headmaster of the Elementary School in Nagyborosnyo and to Fejér Éva, an entrepreneur from Hatolyka, for their effective help. The next camp will take place on 6th and 7th August on the track Kézdivásárhely-Ikafalva-Csernáton-Kézdialbis-Dálnok-Maksa- Eresztevény-Réty-Bita-Feldoboly-Kézdivásárhely. Partners of the program were: the EKE (Transylvanian Bikers Association) from Brasov and Three Chairs, the ‘Bartha Károly’ Elementary School in Nagyborosnyó, the ‘Pro Ozsdola’ Interethnic Association and the Bicycle Section of the KSE (Kezdivasarhely Sports Association) Sponsors: the ‘Communitas’ Foundation, the Promobil and the ‘Tekergő’ bicycle shop. More information about the cycle track on the website created especially for this project.
