As the times is passing by, I can see a lot of differences between my country (Spain) and this part of Rumania. And is quite funny and I´m enjoying everything I can. 1. The first thing I noticed is that the people don´t wear shoes in their houses. We take out the shoes when we arrive home. And it´s perfect because is very comfortable (and the mothers in Spain get angry if they see you in the house without shoes). 2.
My EVS started 3 weeks ago, I have done diferent task during this time. Communication : As a new volunteer in Kezdi, we need to promote the fact that an european program is happening in the city. Three volunteers from differents country will live in this city during one year ! We had a press conference in Hungarian where we just had to sit in a chair and to smile because we can't speak and we can't understand... It was very frustrated ! We also had a radio interview instantaneously translated by a member of the organization. We started to write article (in english) and to take picture for the website about GS event.
Sometimes you need to do some changes to know where is your limit. Being decided to do a EVS started to search. Sending a lot of mails and discovering it´s not a easy thing to find an organization. Most of them are not searching people in that moment or they already have volunteers. And then you ask yourself if you are doing something wrong with your CV or the letter and here is when I decided to implement my presentation with something different.
Hello, thats my first blog so I hope it will be okay. I'm coming from a little village in Austria, and I`m twenty years old. My journey to Romania was very long. At first my parents drived me with the car to Vienna, from my village to Vienna it are two hours. Than I fly with the SerbienAir to Belgrad, it was a very small plane that was funny. In Belgrad I have waited for one hour until the next flight to Bucharest. On the airport in Bucharest Celine from French has already waiting for me. At first we went in a coffee bar, we had a lot things to told. We have waited until two o´clock until Clara was coming from Spain. Celine and I waited ten hours on the Bucharest airport it was a little bit long and I was very tired. On the way to the flat I have slept.
It is the this first article of the my blog, so I need to tell you what happen to me in the past 3 days. Traveling 2647 klm (from La Rochelle to Kézdivásárhely) I'm from a city near the ocean. To get my plane, I had to go to Paris. It's 500 klm from my city, I took the hight speed train (TGV). When I arrived at the train station in Paris, it started to rain (because the weather in Paris is always bad !) I took the bus (because the metro have to many step and I had a big luggage) and I arrived at « jardin du luxembourg ».
