On 19th February, the students of Bartha Károly Gymnasium from Nagyborosnyó participate at a national competition: “Give me soldier, King !”. During this event, the pupils share their common experience of reading. The photos taken at this event can be viewed on the facebook page of the association.
Students formed team of three from different grade (V to VIII) and ages (10-15). They chose together their team name, hymn and a coat of arms related to poems they have read and explain to the jury their choice. This event was conducted by the Green Sun Association at Bartha Károly Gymnasium from Nagyborosnyó. Then, each team has responded at questions about their reading and has obtains points. Each team had a chance to win a physical test! A jury of teachers: Attila Hegyeli, president of the jury, Gabriella Gábor and Iringó Mezei has determined the quiz winners: Anita Szakács (grade VI), Kinga Györbíró (VI.) and Demeter Renáta (V.). The competiton, initialised by the Hungarian Youth Council (MIT), called “Give me solider, king!” will be organized for the 7th time. Its aim is to promote family-centered view of life and to emphasize children’s role from the family’s and society’s point of view. Until today, more than 3600 participants have joined to this program nationwide. The competition’s target group is IV-VIII-grade students. The mentioned age category (10-15) forms that layer, which is on the threshold of adolescence and assumes a flexible view of life and view of world. The location of the upcoming local level competitions organized for the target group, will be 60 settlements of Transylvania.
