Between 27-29 January 2020 was organized the closing conference of the project EFOP-5.2.2 -Transnational Cooperation by the Norma Foundation from Eger. At the meeting, partner organizations evaluated the past two years. As it was mentioned several times in the previous reports of the project, the main focus of the research is to reduce the rate of youth emigration, to identify the root causes, to develop solutions for their remaining home, and to reintroduce them into Hungarian-populated areas in the respective countries. Photos from the event can be viewed on the Green Sun Association Facebook page.

In the first half of the meeting organized at the Eger County Council,  Molnár Edit, the project leader, summarized the achieved  results, Dr. Tóth Antal, vice dean of the Eszterházy Károly University, shared the research process and his experiences with the participants, Dr. Patkós Csaba, university lecturer presented the results of the research. After the lunch break, Ráduly Attila, President of the Green Sun Association, presented his experiences during  the two-year project.

On the second day of the conference there were interactive lectures, first with university lecturer Dorner László about the psychological effects of emigration and then assistant professor Matiscsákne Dr. Lizak Marianna discussed the economic effects of emigration of young people. The participants had a very meaningful and professional discussion on the topic after the lecture. The Green Sun Association was represented by Ráduly Attila, Derzsi Katalin, Harai Adrienn, Kis Emese, Derzsi György, Szabó Attila, Imre Anita and Kiss Zoltán

As the project is a niche project, the partners continue to consider this topic  important, and they are looking for new opportunities to apply for ongoing activities and programs.
